Colorful
Culver City
Kitchen

Empty Nesters enter a new life stage with plans to finally create their dream kitchen.

These homeowners love their home and living in Culver City.   But after enjoying  fulfilling careers and  raising two boys, they are now ready to retire, entering a new life stage.  They can finally update their home according to their taste and lifestyle needs.

With large families and a wide circle of friends, cooking and entertaining are important.  Their two sons are also gourmet cooks, so the kitchen is essential to their family gatherings.

They planned a complete kitchen remodel, designed to maximize counter space, incorporate an island, and maintain a washer/dryer.  By removing one window and moving the exterior doors, they were able to realize their vision with new appliances, expanded counter space,

and a wide shelf between upper cabinets with room to display cookbooks, plants, and favorite dishware.

The color palette was easy: sage green and rose peach, harmonious with the adjacent rooms and outside patio.  Clearly, retirement is a new life stage to enjoy!
