The Full Story of
Eve Mode Design
Jacqueline selected the name Eve Mode Design in honor of her grandparents, who developed a chain of fashion retail stores by that name in Nancy, France, after surviving Germany’s occupation during WWII.
Jacqueline Steinberg, ASID
Jacqueline Steinberg, a full-service LA interior designer, is an authority on “Life Cycle Design.” She enables homeowners to transform their homes into more useful and enjoyable living environments according to their changing lifestyles and needs.
As the principal of Eve Mode Design in Los Angeles, Steinberg is a Baby Boomer mother and Empty Nester, who is sought by clients to solve all manner of conceptual and practical challenges.
“I make it possible for people to start a new chapter in their lives by getting more enjoyment from their homes,” says Steinberg. “This could mean fulfilling an empty-nester couple’s dream for a stylish and “grownup” place; creating multi-generational residences for aging parents and “X”, “Y”, and Millennium children; transforming a garage or attic into a welcoming home office or exercise center.”
Steinberg Demystifies the Remodeling Process
After holding many executive positions in prominent fashion and fragrance companies, it was as Homestore.com’s vice president editorial content for their decorating and remodeling sections, that she realized her passion wasn’t for creating web pages, but “seeing” space potential and creating pragmatic designs that met real life needs. She also knew she could demystify the remodeling process by speaking the same “language” as her clients, many of whom are professionals like herself.
So Steinberg enhanced her MBA education and completed the UCLA Interior Design Program where she mastered a full range of design services ranging from space planning and project management to color consultations, furniture, fabric and lighting selection to custom furniture design.
Member of the American Society of Interior Designers
She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the nation’s largest and most established organization of design professionals. And currently serves on the board of ASID-LA, with a special interest in WELLNESS design.
Steinberg holds a Master's Degree from UCLA’s Interior Design Program; an MBA from Arizona State University and a B.A. from The Ohio State University. She has earned an NCIDQ Certificate (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) which demonstrates unique qualification through education, experience and examination in the practice of interior design.
Her clients reside throughout Los Angeles, the South Bay, and San Fernando Valley, as exemplified by her portfolio.
Skilled Project Manager for Teams of Experts
Combined with her business background, Steinberg’s design training prepared her to become a skilled project manager for client-contractor-construction teams. Importantly she works with a whole team of expert architects, contractors, painters, upholsters, tile specialists and other prominent professionals prepared to tackle the most challenging design goals.
Steinberg, who has appeared in The Wall Street Journal and other top media nationwide, trained with acclaimed designers like Martyn Lawrence-Bullard and Kerry Joyce. She was employed by leading residential and hospitality firms where she not only assisted residential designers and general contractors in all phases of design and construction but was also involved in design development for the Marriott and Hilton Hotel chains.
