Customized Calabasas Home
Part II

The traditional house transformation continued with the complete remodel of the kitchen and family room, optimized for cooking, entertainment and comfort.

The final rooms to be reimagined in the house remodel were the kitchen and family room spaces.  Because of their constant use, it was imperative to finish construction within three months.

The kitchen space design was optimized for maximum usage, including storage, food preparation, eating and entertainment.  Customized white shaker-style cabinetry was complimented with black and white dolomite countertops and backsplash.  Boasting the newest Wolf/Subzero appliances, the kitchen was also enhanced with a 48” Galley work-sink;  two islands;  a new walk-in pantry; and a sunny breakfast nook furnished with a unique banquette and glass pedestal table.

The family room transforms into a fully automated, state-of-the-art media room, complete with a glass-enclosed wine room, an 8’ fireplace and television, surround-sound audio system, and a drop-down 12’ screen and projector.  The room’s sophisticated black, white, and gray palette is enhanced with custom black rift-oak cabinetry,  a plush custom sectional sofa punctuated with bright velvet pillows, shag carpeting, and reflective gray wallpaper throughout.

It is the perfect family hub for relaxing and entertainment!
